Why have a portrait painted?
A portrait is more than just a work of art; it is a personal and timeless memory. It immortalizes a loved one, a precious moment or even a pet in a way that will be cherished for generations. Creating a portrait is a process of collaboration and trust, in which your story forms the basis. Through my years of experience as an artist, I know how important it is to capture not only the outward likeness, but also the character and soul of the person portrayed.

My working method
A portrait always starts with a personal conversation. Together we discuss your ideas, expectations and the atmosphere you want to capture. It is important for me to understand who or what I am going to paint, and what makes the portrait special for you. This conversation forms the basis of the process, in which we determine the style, colors and composition. Do you want an intimate and realistic portrait? Or do you prefer an expressive, modern approach? Everything is possible.
With the right reference photos I get to work. If you don't have suitable photos, I can advise you on how we can make or put them together. Based on these images I make a sketch . This is the moment when the portrait starts to come to life and you get a good idea of the design. Only when you are satisfied with the sketch, I start painting.
The painting process is an intensive and creative process in which I carefully work on the details that make the portrait unique. I regularly share updates, so that you remain involved and any adjustments are still possible. This is a collaboration; your input is valuable to perfectly tailor the portrait to your expectations.
When the painting is finished, I finish it with a matt or gloss varnish. The result is a durable and impressive work of art that is ready to hang. The painting can be carefully packaged and shipped to you, or you can pick it up at my studio by appointment. If desired, I can also arrange for suitable framing by an experienced framer.

I offer portraits in various sizes, so there is always a painting that fits your needs and space. Each portrait is completely custom made, with attention to detail and tailored to your preferences.
